Summary:

Following the events of the first film, Tony Stark has publicly revealed his identity as Iron Man. The U.S. government demands he hand over the Iron Man technology, which Stark refuses, arguing it is his property and that it is safe in his hands. Meanwhile, Stark discovers that the palladium core in the arc reactor that keeps him alive is slowly poisoning him. As he seeks a solution, Stark’s rivals plot his downfall.
